Sarah Image Sarah Townsend

Cutting her teeth on the usual selection of Gilbert and Sullivan productions and musical classics from My Fair Lady to The Barber of Seville, Sarah combined her passion for music, mime, movement and humor to create a unique theatrical style. The focus is on using simple and effective old fashioned theatrical tricks to create magic and adapting film techniques for the stage, using scoring and sometimes even choreography to breathe life into non-musical plays.

Applied Arts is a London based Costume Design Studio run by Bob Saunders, a man with vision, technical know-how and a big sense of humor. Inspired by what most of us would find impossible to even imagine he is keenly aware that the magical output from his workshop depends entirely on the creative process. “I see our approach as being similar to the one an actor will take,” he explains. “It’s just that while the actor works with a script we interpret designs and visuals." Their portfolio includes "The Lion King Musical and “The Mighty Boosh"

pineapple arts Pineapple Arts - Choreographer

All of our classes take place at Pineapple Dance Studios, Covent Garden in the heart of London. Our Principal, Maggie Paterson, a teacher at the studios for over 27 years, opened the Performing Arts School in the building in September 1998. Every Sunday since then the studios have buzzed with the energy of 350 energetic students singing, dancing and acting. We strongly believe e that not only have these courses had a massive impact towards the training of children, teenagers and adults, but that we have introduced a unique style and approach to dance and theatre studies.
